As owner and manager of THE SOUND CHAMBER, a division of SUMNER AND ASSOCIATES , I am proud to know that since opening the doors to our studio in 1985 we have helped untold numbers of Christian Artists enlarge their ministry efforts thru the medium of recorded productions.
We have worked diligently at preserving our integrity and maintaining a superb quality of sound while at the same time striving to keep the cost of our productions at the lowest level possible.
We confidently state that in light of the size of instrumentation, personal time involved in the processing of arrangements and vocal presentations, along with the fullness of sweetening and the careful scrutiny of our final mix down . . .

Practically all custom production companies will offer you in their advertised prices, which are
already way to high , a five piece rhythm section with "maybe" one over dub fill pass on a song or two.
These same companies will "try" to get the basic rhythm tracks done in a six hour package and will allow from three to six hours for vocal over dubs. They further try to do a master mix down in three to six hours.
Anything other than this, will be CHARGED to YOU at a “cost plus” fee .
Having already produced untold numbers of records for other companies prior to

1985, it was both their ultra high rates and their rush to finish the projects that caused me to build my own studio that same year . . . I just didn’t think their “price for services rendered” was neither fair to our artist friends nor a credit to our industry as a whole.
Some say that as the owner and manager of THE SOUND CHAMBER, “I am foolish” for having such low rates. They further assure me that the market can sustain their own higher prices.
Maybe so!
But I would prefer . . .
. . . to be called “foolish” and have . . .
. . . a lot of “happy friends”. . .
. . .than to be known as “financially smart” and have to . . .
“live with the overkill”.
At THE SOUND CHAMBER we have no predetermined limits on neither our time schedule nor our instrumentation.It’s “my studio” and we get "finished" when everyone has given their "best performance" and the artist is “well pleased”.
On each basic rhythm track we produce, THE SOUND CHAMBER offers an instrumental package that includes “any or all” of the following instruments:
Piano / Bass / Drums
At least two rhythm guitars (others if needed)
Acoustic Lead Guitar / Electric Guitar / Steel Guitar / Harmonica
Electric Piano / Organ / Miscellaneous Keyboard Pads
Fiddle / Dobro / Mandolin / Banjo
Miscellaneous Percussion
As the director of THE SOUND CHAMBER, I hand pick all the musicians and vocalists that I hire for my session work.
I am diligent to use only those that are:
First Call Musicians . . .Union Members
and
Professing Christian Believers.
There are a lot of production houses available . . .but . . . In light of their integrity, professionalism and general desire to truly help an aspiring artist, I know of only a few facilities and/or producers in the entire industry that I would personally submit myself and/or my music to for production.
